My name is Nicola Walker and I am the owner of Top Marks Education.

My Education

• 1997: BA Hons in Humanities (English major) Trinity College, Carmarthen (University of Wales)
• 1998: PGCE in Education and Training (University of Wales College, Newport)
• 1998: City & Guilds Initial Certificate in Teaching Basic Skills: ESOL 
• 2002: City & Guilds Initial Certificate in Teaching Basic Skills: Literacy
• The School of TEFL’s Basic TESOL course (Awarded: “Excellence”)

My Career

• Early in my career, I worked in the Further Education sector.
• Top Marks Education was established in 2000 as a provider of freelance English teaching services.
• I have provided outstanding face-to-face and online tuition in English and 11+ to hundreds of students since 2000.
• From 2012 until its closure in May 2024, I worked as an online ESL tutor at English Study Online.
• I have also worked for the award-winning Teachers To Your Home since 2016.
